Grateful For Sacrifices

by Divya
(Cayman Islands)

I live on a small island, population of around 60,000 people.

Between March and June the entire nation entered lock down. It was difficult managing home schooling and restrictions.

I can’t begin to imagine how hard it must have been for those without family to be alone and the toll it took on their mental health.

I am so thankful for the sacrifices everyone made. Collectively as an island we stayed the course and we are now free to move around without masks and our children are able to experience normal lives doing everyday activities.

We get to celebrate as usual this holiday season without restrictions and I am thankful that I am surrounded by so many loving, supportive people.

Such a Wonderful Story of Gratitude
by: Dr. DeFoore

Hello Divya

Thank you for telling your story of community and gratitude here, where others might benefit.

We all live in community, however big or small, and when we work together toward a common goal, there is almost nothing we cannot accomplish.

The pandemic has been a tremendous impact on our lives, and while it has been a tragic hardship for so many, it is good to know that you and others in your community can see the good in what happens when everyone works together.

Many blessings to you and all those around you,

Dr. DeFoore
